Counseling
English Language Learners (ELLs) will be monitored carefully by the English as a Second Language (ESL) staff, guidance counselors, Child Find Team, and classroom teachers for both cognitive and affective growth. If potential problems are recognized, ESL students are provided with appropriate interventions to assist in making them more successful in the classroom. At the secondary level, career guidance is available to ESL students. All ELLs are counseled to the effect the ESL class replaces English Language Arts credits for promotion to the next grade and graduation.
