As I get settled into my new position of Superintendent of Schools at Blacklick Valley, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. Having lived in Nanty-Glo for my entire life, I am honored and blessed to be able to serve the Blacklick Valley community in this leadership capacity. I trust that not only my professional educational experience will assist me in leading our schools but my love of this small town and surrounding communities will empower me to truly listen to and meet the needs of the good people I serve.
Before coming to Blacklick Valley, I worked in the Conemaugh Valley School District for eleven years as an administrator in both the High School and Elementary settings. In addition to my experience at Conemaugh Valley, I have also served as the Assistant Middle School Principal in the Chestnut Ridge School District. My teaching experience includes being a secondary math teacher at Purchase Line Jr./Sr. High School for ten years and an educator for the district's Alternative Education program. Although, I have worked in other districts, my professional experience began at Blacklick Valley many years ago, where I had the privilege of working as a day to day substitute, long term substitute, football coach and baseball coach. I am very much aware that the humble roots of my professional career started here in these very halls of this district, the very place I have always dreamed of coming back, a privilege I promise to never take for granted.
