Blacklick Valley School District - School Wide Title I Program

What is School Wide Title I?

Title I is a Federal Program under the Every Student Succeeds Act, that ensures that all children have fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high –quality education and reach proficiency on state academic achievement standards and state academic assessments. A full listing of the Pennsylvania Common Core standards can be obtained at the elementary web page on the Title I link or at PDESAS.org.

What is the goal of School Wide Title I?

The goal is to have a strong home-school partnership that will help all students succeed and ensure that no child is left behind. Moreover, Title I funds are used to assist with the implementation of our Pre-K program.

Who receives School Wide Title I?

Under the School Wide program, all students are eligible for extra support. At the elementary center, the Title I Reading Specialist; along with any qualified paraprofessionals, and grade level teachers, will be providing extra reading support and intervention groups. These groups will change throughout the school year depending on the needs of the students.
