    Mrs. Nedrich 

    My name is Melanie Nedrich.  I am the elementary librarian/technology teacher here at Blacklick Valley Elementary Center. 

    Students have library/technology class twice in the six day rotation. One day is spent in the library and the second is in the computer lab. While in the library

    students will have the opportunity to select books of their choosing. Students will also be participating in a variety of STEM activities. While in the computer lab

    students will complete activites that teach and reinforce skills aimed at improving technology awareness. 

    Educational Background

    I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a degree in elementary education. 

    I obtained my Master's in Education with a concentration in literacy from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

    I have cerifications as a reading specialist and library media specialist.

    Experience

    My previous teaching postion was at Hollidaysburg Area Junior High School

    where I taught seventh grade reading for 16 years.
